This isn't a change log. Propero aims to ship an update every 10 days, and we can't always stick to that timeline, some of it sits outside our control, App Review has its own clock. But whenever an update is worth talking about, we'll write a short letter like this one: what changed, and why we changed it.

The app has a new shape

The first thing you'll notice: Propero is now three tabs. Home, Earnings, Chat. Home is your properties, and each card only wears a badge when something needs you, rent behind, a lease running out, an urgent repair. Everything about a property now lives on its own page instead of being scattered across tabs. Insights became Earnings, one place for the money: income charted against expenses, the records underneath, ledgers and tax summaries a tap away. Less to learn, less to tap through, nothing lost in the move.

Advertise your property from Propero

The big one. Listing a rental on the major portals has effectively required an agency, which meant the one task that kept sending landlords back to one. From this update you advertise straight from the property's page: Propero builds the listing from details it already knows, enhances your photos, drafts the copy for you to edit, and puts it on realestate.com.au, Domain and rent.com.au for a one-off fee. Ending a tenancy properly

The end of a tenancy has always been the messiest stretch: notice periods and grounds that differ by state, and rules about what you can do with the property afterwards. Propero now walks it with you. Record how the tenancy is ending, generate a termination notice grounded in your state's rules (starting with NSW, Victoria and Queensland), and the app keeps up from there: it prompts the outgoing inspection when the lease runs out, shows the property as vacant rather than counting into negative days, and unlocks advertising at exactly the moment you need it. The app now understands a tenancy's whole life, not just the middle of it.

Expenses, done properly

Every cost of the property now lives in one place. Record an expense in a few taps under a category that makes sense, and maintenance invoices fold themselves in without being entered twice. The Earnings tab now shows where the money goes, a breakdown by category alongside the income you already chart, with the month's records a tap away. Chat can see it all too, so "what did I spend on repairs last year" is a question, not an afternoon with a spreadsheet. And at tax time it's already in your ledger and tax summary PDFs.

A sharper chat

Chat can now read the lease itself, so questions about bond, notice, term dates or what's owed through the end of a tenancy are answered from your actual agreement, not in generalities. Responses stream in smoothly and keep to the point, we told it to stop writing essays for a phone screen. And when you own more than one property, it knows which one you're talking about.

The small things

Lease dates moved to wheel pickers, so a backdated start or an end date deep into next year is a scrub away instead of a tap-through-months exercise. Slow connections now get a retry instead of a spinner that never ends. And a run of smaller fit-and-finish fixes throughout.

That's July! If something in Propero should work better than it does, tell us. We read everything at hello@propero.app
